How it is made
Three clips, twelve seconds each, filmed on a lap. There is no hidden step.
A shuttle and a ball of size 20 cotton is the whole shopping list for most of the library. Earrings and necklaces need findings, and the beaded chapter needs beads and a second shuttle. Nothing else, ever.
See what is in the bundle →Find your reason to begin
A quiet moment for yourself, a gift made with care, or a collection of pieces to sell. There is more than one reason to fall in love with tatting.

A little time that belongs to you
Put the phone aside, choose a small pattern and let your hands settle into the rhythm of rings and chains. Take it one step at a time, with something lovely taking shape in front of you.

Made with someone in mind
A lace bookmark tucked into a favourite book. Earrings in her favourite colour. A small ornament made just for her. Turn your time and care into something she can hold onto.

Your craft, with room to grow
Start with pieces you enjoy making. Refine your finish, choose your colours and present each piece with care. The included licence lets you sell the finished pieces you tat yourself.
The same collection can inspire a quiet evening, a thoughtful gift or your next handmade range. Start with what feels right for you.
Explore the 200+ patterns →Why this craft
Tatting has outlasted a lot of crafts for practical reasons rather than romantic ones. The practical part is what makes it stick.
None of this asks for talent. It asks for one evening, and a shuttle you will still be using in ten years.

Eight books, every technique, one payment.
Everything above is in the one file. Nothing is emailed later, and nothing is held back for a second purchase.
Before you buy
Including the two most people would rather find out now than after paying.
No. This is a digital download only. You receive PDF files. Nothing is posted to you, so there are no shuttles, no thread and no printed books in the post.
A download link goes to your email address immediately after checkout, and it also appears on the order confirmation page, so you have it even if the email is slow. You can download the files as many times as you need.
Not necessarily. The bundle covers both shuttle tatting and needle tatting, so you can start with a tatting needle if that is what you already own. Both methods produce the same lace.
Yes. The technique books begin with holding the thread and forming the double stitch, then build through rings, chains, picots and joins before any full project. The Quick-Start Guide takes you through one finished motif in five steps, so there is something in your hands the first evening.
Yes. The PDFs are formatted for standard home printing on A4 or US Letter, and they read equally well on a phone, tablet, laptop or e-reader if you would rather not print.
Yes. The included Commercial Use Licence grants you a non-exclusive right to sell the finished tatting you make yourself, at markets, in your own shop or to order. The pattern files themselves are a different matter: they stay yours to use and may not be resold, shared or redistributed.
Size 20 cotton crochet thread is the usual starting point. It is thick enough to see what your hands are doing and fine enough to look like lace. The included materials guide covers thread sizes, shuttle types, needle sizes, and the beads and findings the jewellery projects call for.
Prices are set in British pounds and converted automatically based on where you are shopping from, so you see the price in your own currency before you buy and the charge is made in it too.
